Our Genial Genealogist

This is a service provided by an Old Suttonian and former Committee member, Mr. Tom Jewell.

Tom, who lives in Exeter, enjoys spending his time researching family lines, using various sources, including the Plymouth & West Devon Record Office in Plymouth and the main Devon Record Office in Exeter.  As a respected member of the Devon Family History Society he has full access to records held by that Society in Tree House, Exeter, which includes all the census returns from 1841 to 1911.

If you would like Tom to investigate your Devon roots, jot down a little chart with names, places and dates and he will do his best to push the line back as far as possible. He may have to purchase certificates at cost (currently UKP 6.50), but explores other sources to minimise the expense.

The cost for this service is UKP 10.00 (up front). Please make cheques payable to "Old Suttonian Association"
